Our walk-in urgent care clinic is focused on the delivery of ambulatory care, primarily treating injuries or illnesses requiring immediate care. No appointment needed. Services Provided Include: simple skin procedures, suturing, wart removal, physicals, sports injuries, blood pressure checks, pulmonary function tests, EKG... Testing Includes: flu swab, rapid strep, urinalysis, RSV, pregnancy testing.

In-House Lab - open from 8am to 4pm Monday thru Friday.

Dr. Brian Shambo grew up in Copenhagen and attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, graduating with honors. He attended Upstate Medical College in Syracuse graduating in 1984. He attended a family medicine residency at Wilson Hospital near Binghamton, NY until finishing in 1987. He returned to Lowville, NY to join Elwin Stillman in a family medicine practice and in 1989 started working fulltime in the Lewis County General Hospital Emergency Department. In 2004, he began a solo family practice in Copenhagen, NY and in December 2013 joined Lowville Medical Associates in Lowville. He lives in Lowville with his wife, Marcia.

Dr. Daniel Cappon, who was born in Rochester, NY, graduated from Saint John Fisher College. He attended The University of Lausanne, Switzerland for his first two years of medical school and graduated from The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1977. He completed his residency in Family Medicine in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1980 and was Board certified. He then moved to Watertown where he practiced Emergency Medicine at Mercy Hospital and The House of the Good Samaritan. In 1989, he joined North Country Physicians P.C. and practiced Emergency Medicine at Lewis County General Hospital until 2013. He appreciates the opportunity to join Lowville Medical Associates and continue to provide medical care at Lowville Urgent Care. Dr. Cappon is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.

Steve Tiernan, PA-C, earned a BA summa cum laude in Biology at SUNY Potsdam, and Certificate in Physician Assistant Studies at LeMoyne College in 2002. He, prior to that, worked for 13 years at P&C Foods. After an undergraduate career that included research on bats and mongoose, he realized that medicine was the perfect blend of science and customer service. A native of Potsdam, Steve currently resides in Watertown with his significant other Meg King, and her daughter Grace. His son Fisher is an important part of his life as well. Steve enjoys the variety of Urgent Care, and the ability to make an immediate difference in patients’ lives. He is NCCPA certified, and also works at the hospital/nursing home in Lowville.

Dyana Manning, RPA graduated summa cum laude in 2009 from SUNY Upstate Medical University with a bachelors degree in radiologic technology. While working as a dual certified technologist in the fields of MRI and radiology she found a true passion for patient care and desired a stronger role within her patients healthcare. She then returned to SUNY Upstate Medical University where she received a masters degree with high honors in physician assistant studies in 2013. Loving her rural roots of northern New York she decided to return home and join the practice shortly after graduation. She lives locally with her husband James and is truly excited to be providing care to those of all ages within her hometown community. Mrs. Manning is NCCPA certified.

Dr. Sean Harney graduated summa cum laude from Wilkes College, Wilkes Barre, PA and then from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed a Family Practice residency in Williamsport PA and then served in the Air Force at Fairchild Air Force Base, Spokane, WA. Following his discharge Dr. Harney and his family moved to Lowville where he practiced Emergency Medicine for twenty years as a part of North Country Physicians working at Lewis County General Hospital. Dr. Harney is thankful to live, work and farm in this community and call Lewis County home.

Patrick Anderson, RPA earned a BS magna cum laude from SUNY School of Forestry and an MS from Georgia Tech. While working as an engineer in the commercial paper industry, he also became certified as a wilderness first responder. His interest in the medical field grew, and eventually led him to enroll in the Yale University School of Medicine Physician's Assistant Program, where he discovered a passion for the primary care of people across the entire age spectrum and focused his studies accordingly. Upon graduation from Yale in 2004, he relocated with his daughter and wife Mary Beth to her hometown of Lowville and joined the practice. He appreciates the opportunity to care for patients from birth on up, all within the intimate setting of a small community. Mr. Anderson is NCCPA certified.
